📲 How do I add my first eSIM card?
Tap the "+" button on the home screen. Fill in carrier, plan name, price, phone number, country, start date, duration, and optional EID. You can also scan an eSIM activation QR code to instantly fill SM-DP+ address and activation code. Tap Save — the card appears immediately with expiry tracking.
⏰ How do expiry reminders work? Do I need to set for each card?
Go to Settings → Notification Settings. Enable reminders, choose days before (e.g., 3 or 7) and specific time (e.g., 9:00 AM). Then tap "Apply to All Cards Now" to update all existing eSIMs. Newly added cards will automatically follow these global reminder settings. Notifications are local and work even when the app is closed.
📂 How to backup and restore my eSIM data?
Open Settings → Data Management → Export Backup to save a CSV file (includes carrier, phone, plan, dates, activation info). To restore, tap Import Restore and select the CSV file. The app matches existing cards by ID, so no duplicates are created. All data remains local — you own the backup file.
📸 The QR scanner does not recognize my eSIM code. What should I do?
Make sure the QR code is clear and well-lit. You can also use "From Photos" to pick an existing QR image. The app accepts standard LPA:1$SM-DP+$activationCode$confirmationCode format. If manual entry is needed, just fill SM-DP+ and activation code under “eSIM Activation Info” section. The "Activation info filled" toggle helps you track which cards are ready to install.
🔔 I enabled notifications but don't see any alerts. Why?
First, ensure iOS Settings → Notifications → eSIM Manager Pro allows Allow Notifications (Banners, Sounds). Then inside the app, go to Notification Settings and tap "Send Test Notification (in 5s)" — if you see the test banner, reminders are working. Also check that your card expiry date is in the future + daysBefore > 0. Reminder will fire exactly at computed date (expiry date minus daysBefore).
🔄 Does the app support auto‑renew tracking?
Yes. Each eSIM card has an "Auto-renew for same duration" toggle. When enabled, it helps you remember that the plan will automatically renew. However, the expiry date doesn't auto‑extend — you can manually update the start date when renewed. Future updates may add calendar integration.
🌐 Can I use eSIM Manager Pro without an internet connection?
Absolutely! The app works fully offline. No internet permission is required. All data entry, QR scanning (on‑device), notifications, and backup/export are performed locally. Your eSIM information never leaves your iPhone.
💳 I see a “Custom Currency” option – how to use it?
While adding/editing card, tap the currency button and select "Custom..." to enter any ISO 4217 currency code (e.g., CNY, AUD, SGD). The app will format price like "CNY 49.99". All price formatting is local.
🛡️ Do you collect my eSIM EID or phone number?
No, never. Everything is stored only in your device's UserDefaults. The app does not have any backend servers. We take privacy seriously — no analytics, no crashes reporting tools that send data externally. You're in full control.
